Prompt: Set to Go: Part II, the inaugural program of Viewing Material, continued the work of an ongoing research project that explores the multivalent potentialities between music and dance and the political possibilities for how these entangled forms of cultural production both shape and indicate personal, collective, and even national identities.

First initiated at Space52 in Athens, the program focused on Latin American artists and international artists based in México City. Part II brings together a selection of moving-image works from artists whose galleries were participating in the fair, including Art: Concept, Paris, Instituto de Visión, Llano, Beverly’s, Meyer Riegger, Pilar Corrias Gallery, and Produzentengalerie.
