Prompt: “El Cine” program celebrated moving-image work in its many formats. The project featured a video and sound installation adaptation of Vida y Costumbres de Alexander (2015) by Alexandre Estrela at the Teatro Márquez in Todos Santos. In addition to this exhibition format, we presented evening screenings in Puerta Cortes in La Paz and Baja Lab in San José. This program included a series of thematic groups which explored documentary practices, feminist filmmaking, the role of landscape in moving-image work, and the relationship between performance and video. Some artists and filmmakers included Arturo Hernández Alcazar, Maria Jose Arjona, Anaké Assseff, Slater Bradley, Sonia Medel, Verónica Meloni, Joiri Minaya, Aline Motta, Silvia Rivas, and Ana G. Zambrano.
